Learning How to Thrive after Divorce with "The Divorce 101 Show" Podcast
Toronto ON (PRWEB) April 30, 2008 -- With 50% of marriages ending in divorce and 1 in 3 Americans already part of a blended family, divorce is a reality for many. The goal for most individuals on their divorce journey is to survive this life crisis. "The Divorce 101 Show," an award-winning and top-ranked divorce podcast on iTunes, aims to empower separated and divorced individuals to thrive after divorce. The show addresses issues of greatest concern to those affected by divorce including relationships, parenting, finances, divorce attorneys, self-esteem, blended families and dating after divorce. The show can now be found at www.aliveauthorsnetwork.com.
Host Carolyn Ellis, an award-winning author and divorce coach, is a divorced mother of 3 children. This month, she conducts a two-part interview with Jeff Malone about spiritual divorce - what it is and how it can help people to heal their hearts after divorce. Ellis acknowledges the book Spiritual Divorce: Divorce as a Catalyst for an Extraordinary Life by New York Times best-selling author, Debbie Ford, helped her profoundly when her own 20 year relationship ended. It inspired her to train with Ford and become the first Canadian certified as a spiritual divorce coach herself.
Malone, the Director of Fulfillment for the Ford Institute of Integrative Coaching, defines the power of having a spiritual divorce. They discuss the 7 spiritual laws of divorce that can be applied to other relationship breakdowns as well, such as a business relationship or estrangement from a parent. Ellis and Malone share how to move from resistance to acceptance, and why forgiveness is so important to healing relationship wounds.
Next, Ellis delivers a "Divorce Q&A Time" where she answers questions from listeners. In this episode, she shares strategies for dating after divorce. She'll also offer tips for how to handle annoying questions from well-meaning friends or family about your ex-partner. Listeners are encouraged to send in their questions to The Divorce 101 Show at info@divorce101show.com so they can be answered in future episodes.
Finally, this month's series wraps up with Part 1 of a two-part series on Relationship Breakup. After a significant relationship ends, you may feel like you are living in a void. It's important to work with your feelings, rather than resist them. Ellis offers tips and tools to process strong emotions in healthy ways.
